Time to Celebrate Another Successful Exam

On Tuesday, Kyle took the evening off. It was well deserved after the news of his fabulous test scores, again. We are all so proud of him. To celebrate, we went on a tour of the Indian River and out to dinner at the Iguana Cafe, a very local restaurant.

Here we are at the Indian River Bar. It is a small, sketchy looking bar at the end of the ride down the river. The local, to the right of Russ, was our bartender. We were all pretty sure he was high...on something...

A little sweaty from the humidity and sticky from bug spray, but always happy to embrace my loving (and smart!) husband.

We all look a little dazed from the smell of Off!

Russ is chatting it up with Mosque, our guide.
I think he's trying to work a deal...surprised?

What a view! Oh, and the mountains, trees, and waters aren't so bad either.

Here we are at Iguana Cafe, a little shack on the side of the road that you wouldn't dare to enter without some kind of recommendation from another brave soul. Turned out to be a fabulous meal of fish, papaya, and a special banana that they swore would rid you of gas (Hmm, did they think we had a problem?). Bob Marley music on in the background, a neat husband and wife team cooking behind the counter, and the smell of sea air out the window.
What a great night it was!

  1. Looks like some good times. Make sure Russ does some training for the Tour de Hops.
